Cellcore alleviates the effects of ground movement on ground floor slabs, piled beams and rafts. It is now extensively used in both the UK and overseas.
Cellcore is a honeycomb of interlocking expanded polystyrene sections which are designed to collapse at a pre-determined load. These sections vary in density and thickness. Cellcore minimises the loads transmitted to concrete foundations.
